Joanne Koenig
Coste has been a nationally recognized expert on Alzheimer's
disease and an outspoken advocate for patient and family care since
1973. Currently in private practice as an Alzheimer's family therapist,
Ms. Koenig Coste also serves as President of Alzheimer Consulting
Associates, implementing state-of-the-art Alzheimer care throughout
the United States.
She is constantly
in demand for lectures and consultations nationwide. Ms. Koenig
Coste lectures, with compassion, pathos and humor, from Maine to
Alaska, in such venues as Harvard University, the World Alzheimer's
Congress, the National Alzheimer's Association, Local AD chapters,
and the American Geriatric Psychiatry Association.
She has authored
The Training Manual for AD Caregivers in Long Term Care Settings
and The AD Training Manual for Community-Based Care, which
focus on the practical elements of caring for AD patients. Her articles
on Alzheimer's disease have been published nationally, and she has
appeared on numerous local and national radio and television shows
throughout the U.S.
